ACCA Administrative Review (Re-Marking Service?)

Welcome to our guide on the Administrative Review process for ACCA exams. If you’ve recently received a mark that’s close to the pass threshold and are considering your options, this page will clarify what an Administrative Review entails and help you decide if it’s the right step for you.

Section 1: What is an Administrative Review? An Administrative Review is not a re-marking service. This common misconception leads to confusion among students. ACCA does not offer a re-marking service. Instead, an Administrative Review ensures that all marking and result release processes were correctly followed. It’s about verifying the integrity of your exam score, not reassessing the quality of your answers.

Section 2: What an Administrative Review Is Not It’s crucial to understand that in an Administrative Review:

  • Your exam answers will not be re-marked.
  • You won’t receive your exam answers back to see how you were graded.

Section 3: When to Consider an Administrative Review Consider an Administrative Review if:

  • Your mark is exceptionally low compared to your expectations. For instance, if you expected over 70 but received a score around 20.
  • There’s a possibility that sections of your exam were not marked, or there might have been a mix-up with another candidate’s marks.

Section 4: When Not to Request an Administrative Review Avoid requesting an Administrative Review if:

  • Your score is just below the pass mark, such as 48 or 49, and you’re hoping for a slight increase to pass. This is not the purpose of an Administrative Review.
